The month of June is nearly here and it always signals that winter is well and truly upon us. Daylight savings is well gone and quite possibly your motivation is dropping too. But fear not, the team here at Dynamo Events have a winter warmer for you – the 15th Annual Winter Fun Rides.
Seriously, this event is a goody and seems to get more popular every year. We’re kicking off in a new location this year in Ohinewai in the North Waikato on 12 August, The following weekend we will be at Tamahere Community Hall just outside of Hamilton on the 19th and finally we’ll wrap it up on 26th August in Cambridge starting and finishing at Leamington School. These events are for everyone! Do 1 or do them all.
Our early bird fee of just $130 for all three rides is only available until 23rd July, and for the Juniors out there you can enter all 3 for $90.00 so save yourself some pingas and commit now!
The Team Championship
This popular event is back again for 2018/19, Entries will open on Tuesday 5th June so start planning your team and get entered early to avoid missing out there is limited Team spaces available in each of the Categories again this year.
We have new courses, new venues and even a couple of new Categories this year so check out the Team Championship website and start planning for the biggest Team series in the country.
NOTE – You do not have to have all your riders confirmed at this point you just need to register you team to secure your teams spot in the series.
NEW EVENT…
We have a new event on the Horizon! Get your calendars out and mark down Sunday the 10th of March 2019. We have an epic 1 days cycling event not to be missed, this will be like no other event and take in a special part of the Country… Oh and it will not be for the weak! So if you like a challenge stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks. We hope to release full details of this event in June.
Hint: Stephen tells me the finish reminds him of one of those big climbs you see on TV in the Tour de France…
NEW EVENT 2
South Island Tour – 30th September to 6th October 2018
For those of you that took part in the last Wellington to Auckland event know we were considering a South Island version, that have ever was not going to be possible in the similar format that we ran the W2A event, however we have another option that may interest some of you.
We have a the option of a 7 Day guided tour with Stephen Cox along the west coast of the South Island, Starting in Christchurch and finishing in Queenstown. This will be an all inclusive tour package that includes all meals, accommodation in some of the greatest parts of the New Zealand Country side oh and some pretty good yarns with Stephen and his crew!

NEW EVENT 3
That’s right another new event, we are currently looking at the feasibility of running a Mountain Bike Stage Race / Tour in the upper North Island, we can’t give too much away as yet but will more than likely be a 4 or 5 day tour designed for all levels and budgets! Watch this space…
Queen’s Birthday Tour
Our good mates in the Naki have their 3 day Tour at Queens Birthday weekend on again this year, they need about another 20 entries this week or the tour will not go ahead so if you’re thinking of riding get your entry in, no entries no tour!! Email taranakica2014@gmail.com to enter.
Tour of Northland
For those of you that have been asking about the 2019 Tour of Northland, yes it will be on again and the dates have been set for the 21st – 24th March 2019
